Man Utd transfer news: 'If they have the opportunity to sign Harry Maguire, they should'
MANCHESTER UNITED should pay Leicester’s £75million asking price for Harry Maguire because of “supply and demand”.
That is according to former Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich.
Maguire has had a whirlwind year, impressing for Leicester last season following his move from Hull and then starring for England at the 2018 World Cup.
His performances have led to United considering a move for the defender with manager Jose Mourinho known to be an admirer.
But a source close to the 25-year-old told Express Sport: “Maguire and his representatives have made no comment so far on wanting to join Manchester United.”
Prices come down to supply and demand
Nevertheless, talk of a transfer to Old Trafford refuses to go away and Bosnich believes Maguire is worthy of the attention he is receiving and believes United have no option but to pay up.
“Maguire was absolutely fantastic at the World Cup,” he told talkSPORT.
“Prices come down to supply and demand.
"If they have to pay that price (£75m), they have to pay that price.
“There will be other options that they’re looking at, but he’s definitely one of those options.
“And if they do have the opportunity to sign him, I would sign him after what I saw in Russia.”
