Liverpool transfer news: Roma furious with Reds and will refuse to let Alisson Becker join
LIVERPOOL face a fight to sign Roma goalkeeper Alisson with the Serie A giants set to refuse to sell the player, according to reports.
Alisson to Liverpool could cost Klopp €80 million says expert
Liverpool want Roma goalkeeper Alisson with Jurgen Klopp ready to go all out to land the Brazilian.
That decision comes in the wake of Loris Karius’ horrendous Champions League showing, with the German making two big errors as Real Madrid ran out 3-1 winners.
Liverpool already face a fight to land Alisson due to interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid.
The Blues have made him their No 1 choice to replace Thibaut Courtois, who is keen to leave Stamford Bridge for La Liga to be closer to his family.
Real want Alisson, though, with Julen Lopetegui expected to axe Keylor Navas.
However, the Liverpool Echo suggest the Reds are unlikely to be Alisson’s next destination.
That is because Roma are furious with the way they signed Mohamed Salah last summer.
The Serie A giants were forced to give the Egypt international away on the cheap in order to balance the books.
Liverpool ended up paying just £34million for Salah, who then blitzed 44 goals across all competitions during his first season.
And the Liverpool Echo say Roma feel shortchanged and, consequently, will demand Klopp fork out to land Alisson.
Alisson Becker and wife Natalia share a kiss on Valentine's Day
Meanwhile, Roma have claimed they are yet to receive an offer for Alisson, despite Liverpool, Chelsea and Real’s interest.
"To date, no offers have arrived," said director of football Monchi.
"I can only think of continuity for Alisson.
"If you asked me about [Patrik] Schick, I would still answer, I have to think about today.
"I have read many things, but no offer has arrived. It's a reality, I have to work with reality."
