Liverpool transfer news: Jurgen Klopp fails to sign Loris Karius replacement, makes plan
LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp has failed in a bid to replace Loris Karius - but has reportedly made a fresh plan to sign his chosen target.
Liverpool are hunting transfers having already signed Fabinho from Monaco.
Klopp is desperate to sign a new goalkeeper, particularly in the wake of Loris Karius’ Champions League final nightmare.
Though it has since emerged the Liverpool star was concussed against Real Madrid, the German made two costly errors against Real Madrid last month.
Liverpool have high expectations and Karius may be shown the door this summer, having blown hot and cold during his two seasons in the Premier League.
And Transfermarketweb say the Merseyside giants have failed in a bid to replace the player.
The report suggests Liverpool have had a huge £49million bid for Alisson Becker rejected by Roma.
The Brazil international, who is currently at the World Cup in Russia, has been earmarked as a top target.
Allison’s stock is high, however, with Roma reluctant to let him go.
As well as Liverpool, Real Madrid and PSG are also keeping tabs on the 25-year-old.
But Transfermarketweb claim Liverpool are planning a fresh run at the goalkeeper, who would leap above Karius in Klopp’s pecking order.
Alisson will stay at Roma until World Cup ends say expert
Meanwhile, speaking earlier this month, Steve Nicol claimed Liverpool HAD to sign the Roma shotstopper.
“This is about the price. I would love Alisson at Liverpool,” he said.
“I am going to say they have get him.”
Liverpool fans can get another glimpse of Klopp’s top target when Alisson lines up for Brazil against Costa Rica on Friday (1pm).
