Liverpool news: Emre Can takes big swipe over contract rumours
EMRE CAN has given his thoughts on his Liverpool future.
Emre Can has so far refused to commit his future to Liverpool
Can’s contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season and he has been linked with moves to Bayern Munich and Juventus.
Reports emerged over the weekend that the German midfielder will demand a new £200,000-a-week deal in order to stay at Anfield.
With both parties failing to make a breakthrough in negotiations, Jurgen Klopp is resigned to losing one of his main assets.
Work on a move for Can’s replacement has begun, and Napoli’s Jorginho has been sounded as a potential target.

But Can has responded to the latest rumours over his future on Instagram, and insists he won’t comment on what he deems to be “false stories”.
In his personal story, he wrote: “I’ve just returned from international duty with the German team and working on coming back from injury.

“Looking forward to getting back on the pitch asap. EC.”
Can didn’t do himself any favours last week when he gave an interview in Germany, in which he said: “My qualities are sufficient to play in a very big club next season.
“I do not want to exclude anything because I do not know what I will do from the summer.”
It remains to be seen whether he will be fit in time for Liverpool’s first Premier League game after the international break on Saturday away to Crystal Palace (12.30pm).
