I was impatient to play there, at Anfield. I wanted to feel the atmosphere. For me it would be a dream to play in a club like this.
Abdoulaye Doucoure on Liverpool
Doucoure would prove a cheap replacement for Can in the middle of the park and pundit Tim Sherwood believes he is the perfect fit for the Reds.
“I really do (like him),” Sherwood said
“He can get forward, he always supports the attack, he makes good runs.
“This is him against Chelsea with the assist for the goal. He senses it, he smells blood, he gets on the end, loads of power, shoots off both feet.
“This is a good technique, this is like Stevie (Steven Gerrard) in his pomp.
“This is what he’s all about though, you want midfield players to do the dirty work.

Emre Can could be on his way out of Liverpool this summer
“Putting bodies on the line, reading danger, this kid could put out fires as well.
“He could play for Liverpool in my opinion. No (I don’t think they will keep hold of him) and I don’t think they’ve any interest in holding onto him.
“Watford know what they are, they’re a selling club.
"As soon as he’s worth the value where they think it’s the right money, he will go and he will probably go to one of the clubs in the top four.”
Doucoure, who joined the Hornets in 2016 from Rennes, is under contract with Watford until 2020.
