Champions League draw: Barcelona star Andres Iniesta desperate NOT to face Real Madrid
BARCELONA star Andres Iniesta admits he does not want to face another Spanish side in the next round of the Champions League.
Andres Iniesta has been speaking about the Champions League draw.
Barcelona booked their place in Friday’s quarter-final draw with a 3-0 win over Chelsea.
However, Ernesto Valverde's side have a chance of being tied against fellow La Liga clubs Real Madrid or Sevilla in the last eight.
And the midfielder admitted he would rather face one of Juventus, Roma, Bayern Munich, Liverpool or Manchester City instead.
Real Madrid are solely focussed on the European competition because they are third in the domestic table - and that makes them an unwanted opposition.
Not the Spanish sides because we know each other too well
"Not the Spanish sides because we know each other too well," Iniesta said when asked who he would like to play next.
"I'd prefer not to get one of them.
"It's always a goal to win the Champions League, but it's difficult.
"One bad match can put you out.
