Reports on the continent yesterday suggested Chelsea chiefs would imminently axe Conte.
But Express Sport understands the Italian will be in charge when the reigning Premier League champions host West Brom next week after refusing to resign.
Chelsea insist they have not approached any candidates about the potential vacancy.
A lack of suitable options as caretaker manager is one of the reasons behind their decision not to sack Conte.
Conte challenged owner Roman Abramovich to axe him after the Watford defeat, saying: “I’m not worried about my job.
“I work every day, and I give 120 per cent, OK? If this is enough, it’s OK.
“Otherwise, the club can take a different decision. Every day and every press conference, you ask me if I’m worried.
“No, I’m not worried. I can be the Chelsea coach or not. Which is the problem?”
Sport claim Blues chiefs want him to steady the ship and have the opportunity to plan ahead for next season.
