Mesut Ozil has signed a new deal at Arsenal worth £350,000 a week
The news will be greeted with support from the Arsenal fans who had to watch on as Alexis Sanchez ran his contract down and joined Manchester United this month.
Ozil was also linked with United and worked with Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.
Sanchez joined United and made his debut at Yeovil last week and will play against Tottenham tonight.
Ozil's form has been up and down this term, as has Arsenal's, but they will hope with the capture of Aubameyang and with Henrikh Mkhitaryan on board they will now push on.

Arsene Wenger has always been hopeful of keeping Ozil beyond the summer and will be delighted to have extended his deal.
Earlier this week Wenger was coy on the possibility of retaining the Germany ace.
“Not close enough to be optimistic and not far enough to be pessimistic,” he said when asked how close the deal was.
But he said he was keen to play Ozil with Mkhitaryan.
“Yes, our intention is [to do it],” he said.
“As I have said before, we signed Mkhitaryan on a long-term contract and our intention is to keep Ozil at the club and hopefully we will manage to do that very soon.”
