The admission comes just days after Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc dismissed talk of Aubameyang making the move to the Premier League club.
He called the deal “rubbish” and accused Arsene Wenger of being “disrespectful” for speaking about the striker in his press conference this week.
“There is nothing really concrete on the table. There's a lot of rubbish,” Zorc said.
