Chelsea news: Antonio Conte must work to get the best out of Ross Barkley, says Sutton
Barkley joined Chelsea from Everton for £15million on Friday, signing a five-and-a-half-year deal.
Sutton is a fan of the England international and reckons he has been bought to eventually become a first-team regular at Stamford Bridge.
However, he says Conte must be the man to help him realise his potential.
“Yeah I think so (he will eventually be a starter), I think that’s why Chelsea have bought him,” Sutton said on BT Sport.

"I just thought at the end at Everton he was under-appreciated by the supporters.
“I think there is a real player in there, I really do.
“It’s up to Antonio Conte and Chelsea to find that.”
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard was working alongside Sutton and believes his former side have got a bargain in Barkley.
