ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger should be awarded the Premier League manager of the month award for September.

That is the view of Sky Sports pundit and former defender Danny Higginbotham.
Wenger has been shortlisted for the award alongside Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola and the boss of north London rivals Tottenham, Mauricio Pochettino.
City and United are level on points at the top of the table, with Spurs below them in third.
Arsenal won two of their three league games in September, drawing the other away to Chelsea.
Higginbotham has been impressed by the turnaround of the Gunners since the 4-0 loss to Liverpool in August.

They are unbeaten in all competitions since then and have kept four clean sheets in a row in the league.
“Huge, I think it (September) has been massive,” Higginbotham said.
“Personally he (Arsene Wenger) would be my favourite for it because of the way they came back after the Liverpool game.
“To go and win the three of the next four league games, to not concede any goals, that’s brilliant.

“The Chelsea game could have been a big turning point for me.
“It looked defensively strong and that’s key.
“We know Arsenal are always going to score goals, it’s the other end where people will question them.
“They’ve got goals all over the pitch, (Alexandre) Lacazette has come in and hit the ground running and they are a joy to watch going forward.”
