Steve Cotterill appointed as Birmingham City manager
Cotterill replaces Harry Redknapp at Birmingham, penning a two-and-a-half-year deal, and will be assisted by Lee Carsley.
Redknapp was sacked on September 16 after taking only four points from their opening eight Championship games.
Birmingham currently sit inside the relegation zone on goal difference after their 1-0 midweek win over Sheffield Wednesday.
Carsley, Birmingham's former Under-23s boss, took four points from his two games as caretaker manager but repeatedly insisted he does not want the job full time.
