Jose Mourinho: I don’t want to wait three transfer windows to get perfect Man Utd side
JOSE MOURINHO is adamant he needs three transfer windows to get Manchester United to where they need to be, but he concedes he’s in a rush to achieve his aims.
Jose Mourinho says he could be at Man United for 15 years
Mourinho enjoyed a productive summer window, spending close to £150million on three players - Victor Lindelof, Romnelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.
He also managed to re-sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer.
The Red Devils’ savvy spending has seen them enjoy an excellent start to the season, and they top the Premier League table after collecting maximum points from their first three games.
Mourinho is under no illusion about the size of the task facing United, as they seek to become league champions for the first time in five years.

Again, I like to accelerate. I don’t like to sleep on a slow watch, a slow timing, and let it go
And while accepting it will take three summer windows to get the full strength team he craves, Mourinho wants to reach the summit quickly.
“We’re going to fight against very good teams, but we’re going to try,” he told The Times.
“I have said three [summer] transfer windows is what I need to have the team I want to have, the team I think can bring Manchester United to the top of English football and to close the gap to the top of European football again, and I still think we need that third transfer window, but I’m not going to wait for the third transfer window to try to reach it.
