Man Utd & Barcelona target deemed ‘untransferable’: He has not done this for Mourinho
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN will reportedly refuse to sell Marquinhos this summer and insist he is not looking to leave.
PSG star Marco Verratti's Ligue 1 highlights
Manchester United, Barcelona and Manchester City have all been linked with moves ahead of the summer.
Jose Mourinho is said to see the Brazil international as an ideal solution at centre-half.
And the United boss apparently wants the 23-year-old to push for a move to help secure a £50million deal.
Previous reports have also claimed the three keen clubs have made offers.
Marquinhos has impressed at PSG who are not willing to let the defender leave
The player himself has never shown a desire to leave
However, French newspaper Le Parisien say no bids have been received since Chelsea’s approach last spring.
And crucially, Marquinhos is not acting on Mourinho’s desires to force through a transfer from PSG to United.
Barcelona remain attentive to the situation, but it appears the star defender is staying put, especially following the departure of David Luiz last year.
A PSG source told the paper: “The player himself has never shown a desire to leave.
Jose Mourinho has wanted Marquinhos to push for a move but he has not obliged at PSG
“He is untransferable and, like Verratti and Rabiot, embodies the PSG of tomorrow and after tomorrow.”
Marquinhos is also planning for the future in Paris in his personal life too, as he is expecting his first child in Autumn.
Although no contact from other clubs is said to have been received at PSG, Manchester United, Barca or City could still make a move.
