Harry Redknapp makes announcement on future after Birmingham avoid relegation
HARRY REDKNAPP admits he could stay on at Birmingham, as long as the club's owners match his ambitions.
Birmingham survived a tense final day in the Championship as Che Adams' 16th-minute strike gave them a 1-0 win at Bristol City as Blackburn, despite beating Brentford, dropped into League One.
The second win of Redknapp's three-game caretaker reign ensured that Birmingham did not have to worry about wins for Rovers and Nottingham Forest.
Redknapp, 70, signed a short-term deal at St Andrew's following the departure of Gianfranco Zola, who won just two of his 22 games in charge.
And when asked about his future, Redknapp replied: "I've got a good situation in my life.
"I don't need to be chasing work. I work with a few different companies. I'll have a chat and see what their (Birmingham owners) ambitions are.
"If they're ambitious and want to have a go next year, then I'd be interested.
"But I don't know what their plans are, they might have someone else lined up. I haven't met or spoken to anyone who owns the club."
