Celtic 1 - Rangers 1: Hill's late strike in Old Firm derby ends Hoops' winning streak
CLINT HILL popped up with a late goal to rescue Rangers a point against Celtic in the Old Firm Derby.
Clint Hill rescued a point for Rangers late on
Celtic took the lead on 35 minutes through Stuart Armstrong.
But Rangers snatched a point courtesy of Hill as he bundled the ball home from close range as Celtic were held for the first time since September 18.
Hill almost went from hero to villain in the dying moments though as he brought down Leigh Griffiths in the box but referee Bobby Madden waved away a late penalty appeal.
Newly appointed Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha, who was in the stands for the match, will have been impressed with his side’s fightback.
Stuart Armstrong gave Celtic the lead on 35 minutes
Brendan Rodgers' team remain 33 points clear of their third-placed rivals in the table but Rangers will take some satisfaction from spoling Celtic's party on the day.
Despite the result ending Celtic’s 17-match winning run, the Hoops need just six points to clinch their sixth straight Scottish Premiership title.
