Max Allegri to Arsenal: Juventus boss demands lucrative deal, deadline set
ARSENAL have reportedly been dealt a huge blow in their attempt to land Max Allegri.
Max Allegri is reportedly demanding a new Juventus deal
The Juventus boss has emerged as the favourite to succeed Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Express Sport understands Allegri has verbally agreed a deal to take over the reins at the Emirates in the summer.
However, fresh reports emerging from Italy suggest otherwise.
Italian paper Il Tempo claim Allegri is just using the Arsenal interest to push for a better deal with Juve.
Arsene Wenger could leave Arsenal at the end of the season
The report says the 49-year-old is demanding a new four-year contract worth £4.35million a season to stay in Turin.
It is also thought Allegri wants full control over first-team affairs.
And he has set a deadline for his wishes to be met by the end of the month.
Otherwise, his future could be up in air.

Sevilla's Jorge Sampaoli and Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel have also been discussed for role.
Wenger's pride took a battering last night after his side's 5-1 defeat in the second leg of their last-16 Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich.
The Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the campaign, although an unsigned two-year offer is on the table.
