Confirmed: Chelsea midfielder signs new contract until 2019
CHELSEA midfielder Marco van Ginkel has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until 2019.

The Dutch international will now spend the rest of the campaign on loan at at PSV Eindhoven, where he won the Eredivisie title during a spell season.
A Chelsea statement said: "Marco van Ginkel has extended his contract with Chelsea until 2019."
"He will now spend the rest of the 2016/17 season on loan with PSV, the club he helped to the Eredivisie title last season."

The 24-year-old playmaker joined Chelsea in the summer of 2013 from Dutch side Vitesse but has failed to break into the first-team.
He spent second-half of last season on loan at PSV but was unable to extend his stay due to a knee injury.
However, after featuring regularly for Chelsea's Under-23s this season, Van Ginkel will rejoin the Dutch champions again for the rest of the season.
PSV sporting director Marcel Brands confirmed his side's interest in re-signing Van Ginkel in January earlier this month.

"We need to check with Chelsea," he told Dutch broadcaster Omroep Brabant. "The question is now with our technical staff.
"Of course he's on our list, but we must also see if there is a spot for him at this time in our team."
Van Ginkel helped PSV to the Eredivisie title in his 16 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals and providing one assist during his short stay.
