Heskey won't go on cheap
WIGAN manager Steve Bruce insists striker Emile Heskey will only be allowed to go in January for “silly money” having already experienced how damaging it can be to lose your star striker at this time of year.
England international Heskey is out of contract at the end of the season and has refused to sign a new deal. Aston Villa, Tottenham and even Liverpool have all been linked with a move for him next month.
But Bruce said: “It is a huge decision for the club. But when I see £2million or £3m being bandied around, I am not going to take it and I am convinced the chairman will back me as he has done on every decision so far.
But if somebody offered £10m, I would have to think about it.”
