But Monk, who won the competition as a player at Swansea, is confident his side can cause an upset at Anfield.
"We want to win, we go into each game with the mentality and belief that we can win and tomorrow is no different," Monk told LUTV.
"When you get to this stage in the competition anything can happen. It is going to be a really good test, no matter what happens it will be a great experience."

Monk was far from pleased by his side's performance last time out, despite beating Rotherham 2-1 on Saturday, and suggests he could ring the changes on Merseyside.
"We were happy with the three points on Saturday, but it was a lesson to be learnt," he added. "Everyone wants to play against Liverpool and I have a decision to make."
