Sunderland keen on Liverpool flop already seeking Premier League return after summer move
SUNDERLAND are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool flop Joao Teixeira on loan from Porto.
Joao Teixeira has not played for Porto since his move from Liverpool
Teixeira left Merseyside this summer for his native Portugal in the hope of securing regular football.
The 23-year-old had failed to make the grade at Anfield, having originally signed for the club from Sporting Lisbon in 2013.
But Teixeira is yet to make an appearance for Porto and doesn't appear to be part of manager Nuno Espirito Santo's plans.

Were he to complete a move to the Stadium of Light on the opening day of the January transfer window on New Year's Day, Teixeira could be available to face Liverpool a day later on Wearside.
Sunderland sit bottom of the table after claiming just one draw from six games all season, while Liverpool are fourth in the league, five points off leaders Manchester City.
