LIVERPOOL will get just £250,000 in compensation from Joao Teixeira's move to Porto.
Joao Teixeira has joined Porto and Liverpool will receive just £250,000 in compensation
The 23-year-old was offered fresh terms by the Reds, but he has decided against extending his stay at Anfield in search of more first team football.
Teixeira moved to Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon in 2012, but he failed to make an impact in the first-team, and made just seven appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side last season.
It is understood the Portuguese midfielder has agreed a four-year deal with Porto and will officially join the club when his deal on Merseyside expires on July 1.
And he explained his reasoning for rejecting fresh terms at Liverpool in favour of a move to Porto was because it was his 'dream'.

“I am from the north [of Portugal] and to wear blue and white has always been a dream for me,” he said.
“Now I can work at my club in my region and my country.
“I had other offers but do not want anything other than to wear blue and white.”
