German newspaper Kicker claim it is “highly probable” the Bundesliga side will re-sign Gotze after he controversially left the club for Bayern Munich in 2013.
However, it appears as if they and Liverpool will miss out on the Germany international.

Mario Gotze and Andre Schurrle look set to join Borussia Dortmund
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp had made Gotze his No 1 summer target, but instead completed a £30million move for Sadio Mane from Southampton after Gotze opted against a move to Anfield.
It is also claimed Dortmund have agreed a five-year deal for Wolfsburg winger Andre Schurrle as they look to fill the void left by Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who joined Manchester United earlier this month.
And Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel could bring in Gotze alongside Schurrle.

What Kicker actually say: BVB want to sign Götze in addition to Schürrle (who they agreed a 5-year-deal with) and that might not be it.

Gotze’s future at Bayern is unclear and it has been cast into further doubt by new boss Carlo Ancelotti, with the 57-year-old being particularly coy on the player’s future.
"While he is a Bayern player I will treat him as such,” he said.
“I spoke with him one month ago, it was a private conversation and I won’t say what I said to him.”
