Icardi's future at Inter is unclear after his wife claimed this month the club were looking to offload the 23-year-old, despite him penning a new deal last year.
There is understood to be a dispute beetween Wanda Nara and Inter over an improved contract for Icardi, after he agreed a lower salary last year given the club's financial problems.
“I’ve asked for a renewal because the club had promised me a renewal. Last year we accepted their conditions, which mean a lower salary, the sale of the 50 per cent of Mauro’s economic rights and there is no release clause on his contract. They have to keep their promises.
“We want to stay in Milan. People say I am a mercenary, but I am not. They [Inter] have to say the truth. They can’t say Icardi is not for sale and then talk to other clubs.”
