Carlos Bacca has scored 97 club goals in his last four seasons in all competitions
The AC Milan striker is understood to be available this summer, with the Hammers apparently set for talks at a meeting in London on Friday to discuss a transfer.
Slaven Bilic's side have turned their attentions to the 29-year-old after failing to land both Alexander Lacazette and new Chelsea signing Michy Batshuayi.
And if everything goes to plan following the Hammers' offer, Bacca could be finalised as a West Ham player soon, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
But Bacca would certainly fit the marquee profile West Ham are searching for in a prolific frontman.
The ex-Sevilla striker netted 18 Serie A goals last season and has been an almost ever-present over the last four years, ruling out any injury-prone fears for Hammers fans.
Bacca's release clause is also claimed to be around the same fee as West Ham's reported bid, making an agreement all the more likely for a move to east London.
