Manchester United chief: Why I pushed to secure this double deal
MANCHESTER UNITED executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward believes securing the long-term futures of Marcus Rashford and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson proves the club's commitment to youth development.

Academy products Rashford and Borthwick-Jackson today penned new four-year deals that include pay rises.
Rashford, United's new-found forward sensation, scored on his England debut last week and was almost unheard of just a few months ago.
He also netted on his United debut in the Europa League against FC Midtjylland and Woodward hopes his new contract, which it thought to include a pay rise to £20,000 a week, is just reward for his efforts.

Borthwick-Jackson, 19, made his Red Devils debut back in November and the defender remained part of ex-manager Louis van Gaal's plans for the rest of the season.
"Cameron is one of a number of young players to come through our academy to make their first team debut last season," Woodward said.
"This is something that our club has always done and promoting the academy and U21 players is something that makes everybody associated with the club very proud.
"I’m delighted that Cameron has signed his new contract and look forward to seeing him in the squad for many years to come."
