But the defensive midfielder has now denied he visited the merseyside club's training ground.
"On the theme of Liverpool, I don't know anything, just that my father was alerted on Google. I was not there," he told Spanish outlet Onda Cero.

However he hinted he could still leave the Spanish club this summer, adding there had already been offers for his services.
"There were offers, but either they did not reach the termination [clause] or convince the club, or me," he said. "If I go, it will be the best for both [parties].
"I don't want to leave Malaga by the back door. I want to work things out with the club."
