Yaya Toure benched for Man City's crucial Champions League tie amid summer exit
YAYA TOURE was a shock omission from Manchester City's team for their Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain this evening.
Yaya Toure has failed to feature in just one Champions League game this season for Man City
Toure missed the first leg with a knee injury but returned as a second-half substitute against West Brom on Saturday and was expected to start against PSG.
But he was left on the bench with boss Manuel Pellegrini naming the same side that earned a 2-2 draw in the Parc des Princes last week.
The decision will fuel speculation that the Ivory Coast midfielder will be leaving City this summer - as his agent Dimitri Seluk has claimed on several occasions.
PSG are without the suspended David Luiz and Blaise Matuidi. Marquinhos and Gregory Van De Wiel come into the team. Van Der Wiel will be at right back with Sergio Aurier moving into the middle hwile Marquinhos will play in midfield.
Man City (4-2-3-1): Hart; Sagna, Otamendi, Mangala, Clihcy; Fernandinho, Fernando; Navas, De Bruyne, Silva; Aguero.
PSG (4-4-3): Trap; Van Der Wiel, Aurier, Thiago Silva, Maxwell; Rabiot, Marquinhos, Motta; Di Maria, Ibrahimovic, Cavani.
Referee: C. Carballo (Spain).
