Pep Guardiola enters talks to beat Liverpool to Ilkay Gundogan
According to The Sun, incoming Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has opened talks with the Germany international, valued by Dortmund at £25million.
Guardiola is said to consider Gundogan - also a target for Arsenal - as a potential replacement for Yaya Toure who is expected to leave the Etihad.
Meanwhile, Dortmund defender and Liverpool target Mats Hummels admits he may look to leave the Bundesliga giants in the summer in order for his career to progress.
The German World Cup winner told Bild: "I don't necessarily want to [leave], but I have to make a big decision. I have been back and forth a lot.
"Age gives you a feeling that you don't have forever to win. I realise in every year I don't win a title, I'm closer to retiring.
