Manchester United transfer shock: £60m striker target signs new five-year contract
BAYERN MUNICH striker Robert Lewandowski has put pen to paper on a new deal.
Robert Lewandowski has reportedly signed a new five-year deal at Bayern Munich
That is according to German news outlet Bild, who claim the Poland international has extended his stay at the Bundesliga champions until the summer of 2021.
Lewandowski has been heavily linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena this summer, with Manchester United said to be interested in his services.
The Daily Star reported earlier this month that United were lining up a £60million move for the 27-year-old in their search for a new striker.
Louis van Gaal has been forced to call on Red Devils academy product Marcus Rashford this term following injury to captain and main striker Wayne Rooney.

But Lewandowski, who has scored 36 goals in 39 appearances for Bayern this term, has reportedly turned down United’s interest in favour of a new five-year deal.
The reported extension is likely to come as a massive boost to incoming Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti, who will replace the Manchester City-bound Pep Guardiola in the summer.
