Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri in awe of Riyad Mahrez after 'amazing' strike at Watford
CLAUDIO Ranieiri last night hailed Riyad Mahrez's "amazing" matchwinner for Leicester, even though he didn't think it was the stuff that champions are made of - well, not yet at any rate.
Riyad Mahrez's winner means Leicester sit five points clear at the top
The Algerian's wonder goal - his 15th this season - won three more precious points that opened up a five-point gap at the top of the Premier League.
Ranieri purred: "The goal was amazing. Suddenly the ball was there and he scores a goal. But we know what Mahrez can do."
Even so the Italian refused to start the champion celebrations just yet.
He added: "I don't dream, it is our fans who dream. I just continue to work.
"The result is not important. Five points is nothing because no one can say who will win the title.
"Our target was to be safe and save the team - and we have done that. That's all."
