Arsene Wenger: Why Per Mertesacker could be on the bench against Leicester
ARSENE WENGER refused to confirm whether Per Mertesacker would regain his place in Arsenal's starting line-up for their top-of-the-table clash with Leicester on Sunday.

The German defender has missed the FA Cup win over Burnley through suspension and was left on the bench against Southampton and Bournemouth.
Brazilian Gabriel has played alongside Laurent Koscielny and the duo have kept two clean sheets.
The pace of Jamie Vardy has caused nightmares for defenders all season, including Mertesacker in the corresponding fixture in September.
But Wenger was reluctant to reveal his team news, instead praising the experienced defender.

He said: “It’s difficult to go into individual assessment.
“He has played many games. He’s a great leader very respected in our dressing room.
“But I have three centre-backs and I adapt, on form, on opponents, on their strengths.”
