Chelsea eyeing Paris Saint-Germain star as replacement for Ramires
CHELSEA are reportedly keeping tabs on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi.
Blaise Matuidi is one of PSG's most important players
The Frenchman has become a fans favourite since arriving in 2011 from Saint-Etienne for just £6million.
And in December he was named French Footballer of the Year 2015 by France Football magazine.
The 28-year-old is likely to line-up against Chelsea in their Champions League round of 16 tie.
But according to L’Equipe, the Blues have identified the midfielder as a possible target following Ramires' exit in January.
Chelsea club fact file
The Brazilian joined Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning for £25m, leaving a gap in Chelsea's squad.
It is claimed that while Matuidi wouldn't rule out a move to the Premier League, he holds a strong affection for PSG which could make a potential deal difficult.
