Fresh striker blow for Newcastle as Premier League hotshot snubs move
BAFETIMBI GOMIS has decided to stay at Swansea.
Bafetimbi Gomis wants to remain with Swansea
The 30-year-old was linked with a move to the north east by the Daily Mirror after their attempts to sign Saido Berahino stalled.
According to Foot Mercato, Qatari outfit Lekhwiya were closest to signing the Frenchman.
But Gomis has declined a move to the Middle East to stay with the Welsh side.
Gomis’ snub follows West Brom’s rejection of a £24million bid for Berahino from Newcastle.
Steve McClaren has brought in Seydou Doumbia from CSKA Moscow on a deal until the end of the season.
