Inter Milan hoping to beat Chelsea to Real Madrid star Jese Rodriguez
INTER MILAN manager Roberto Mancini is hoping to beat Chelsea to the signing of Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez, according to reports.
Jese Rodriguez has made just three La LIga appearances for Real Madrid this season
Italian publication Calcio 24 claim the former Manchester City boss is keen to take advantage of his situation in Madrid, with the Spaniard thought to be unhappy at a lack of playing time.
The 22-year-old remains firmly behind the preferred front three of Karim Beznema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, who are all proving extremely difficult to budge.
Chelsea were linked with a move in the summer and could revive their interest should he become available.
Reports suggest Real president Florentino Perez could sanction a move, although he might prefer to let his young talent go out on loan or insert a clause allowing the Spanish giants to buy him back in the future.
Jese has found it difficult to oust the likes of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo
Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini is reported to be lining up a January bid for Jese
They have a similar deal with Juventus for striker Alvaro Morata, who joined the Serie A champions at the start of last season.
Jese has featured in just three La Liga games this term and could be keen on the move himself.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is thought to be a long-term admirer and reports in the summer claimed a bid of £15million might be enough to tempt his former club into doing business.
