Dejan Lovren was brought off in agony at Anfield last night
Lovren was carried off an a stretcher in last night's League Cup clash with Carlisle during extra-time.
The Croatia international suffered a suspected broken ankle and the Liverpool Echoclaim the club fear he may have actually damaged ligaments.
He was clearly in agony and had to be given oxygen as he was taken off at Anfield.
While the full extent of the injury is not yet known, reports suggest he will be out for two months at the very least.

It marks another blow following his £20million move from Southampton last year.
Lovren struggled to establish himself in his first season but appeared to be given a show of faith by manager Brendan Rodgers at the start of the current campaign.
