And Cocu, who worked with the 21-year-old last season, is convinced the youngster still has a lot to show. "It's normal you need some time to grow, you need a lot of games," he said.
"Physically he's very strong and he's a quick learner also. And I'm sure when he gets some time he'll get it very fast. He will bring goals.
"He's a very vertical player who always likes to play towards the goal. Not only will he score goals, he has good vision.
"He will have some ups and downs. I'm sure when he's been playing a few months, I'm convinced he'll get better and better."
Speaking at his pre-match press conference yesterday, Cocu declared his side are full of confidence going into the game.

"We are not afraid of Manchester United," he added.
"I think we should respect each opponent, but we are not afraid of Manchester United. We have no intention of throwing in the towel before we even get started. On the contrary, we want to make the most of this opportunity.
"These are the kinds of games everybody is really looking forward to. It was the same for me back in the days. We might have to slow down some of the players rather than motivate them. I think it is very important that everybody keeps a cool head. You have to remain focused. Details will be decisive.
"We are not going into the game thinking that we are likely to lose. That’s a negative approach. Our goal is to bag the full three points here, but we cannot afford to be naïve."
