Wenger spoke to reporters after his side's 0-0 draw at home to Liverpool on Monday night and has come under fire for failing to bring in any competition for Francis Coquelin.
Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini remain the only other two options and when asked if the club needed a more "powerful" alternative, the Gunners boss said: "Everybody has their opinion and everybody is entitled to have an opinion.
"I could prove to you that it's not necessarily right.
"When you don't win, you're wrong and people always find reasons why. Are they the good reasons?
"I think I have enough experience and intelligence to know when it's right and when it's wrong.”

Arsene Wenger watched his side draw 0-0 with Liverpool at the Emirates on Monday night
The Gunners have been linked with Asier Illarramendi from Real Madrid but Wenger's revelations appear to have ruled them out of the running.
That will come as a boost to Liverpool, who are also understood to be keeping tabs on the 25-year-old.
However, the Reds could yet face competition from the Spaniard's former club, with Real Sociedad thought to be lining up a bid as well.
