The Congolese international was given compassionate leave by manager Alan Pardew, while Spurs insist they are not in for the player.
Pardew will not rush Bolaise back for Palace's Capital One Cup second-round clash with Shrewsbury and has said he will give him as much time as he needs.
The Eagles boss said: "I couldn't care less if he takes three weeks. It's not easy losing your father. I lost my father."
Bolasie has played a huge part in Palace's rise over the last few years, scoring a ten-minute hat-trick against Sunderland in April.
