The unfortunate incident occurred in August last year during United's opening match of the Premier League season against Swansea.
The Red Devils went on to lose 2-1 in the clash at Old Trafford, but things went from bad to worse for Young when footage emerged of bird poo flying into his open mouth.
Team-mate Luke Shaw revealed in an interview with Match of the Day Magazine that the aerial assault is still talked about in the United dressing room, revealing: "We still laugh about the time he got bird poo in his mouth against Swansea.
I can, 100%, absolutely confirm it was not bird poo

"If you ask him now, he'll say it wasn't bird poo. In the changing room we hung a fake bird above his place as a joke which he didn't like."
However, Young has denied that he was violated by a flying spectator, telling the Guardian: “I can, 100%, absolutely confirm it was not bird poo. But I’d love to know who put that video out and how they did it. Or what my reaction might have been if it actually was.”
