Man City defender Aleksandar Kolarov eyes Italy return
ALEKSANDAR KOLAROV has cast doubt over his future at Manchester City after he revealed a desire to return to Italy.
Aleksandar Kolarov is eyeing a return to Italy
The 29-year-old defender, who joined City from Lazio for £16million in 2010, has been in and out of boss Manuel Pellegrini's starting line-up this season and has started only 11 Premier League matches.
Former club Lazio and Inter Milan have both been linked with Kolarov, who admits he has been impressed by the work of Serbian compatriot Sinisa Mihajlovic at Sampdoria.
I'd like to return to Italy, but it's difficult
"I'd like to return to Italy, but it's difficult," said Kolarov. "I'm happy for Sinisa Mihajlovic; he's doing very well, as are Lazio.
"They're having a great season and I hope they can end it in third or even second place."
City midfielder Yaya Toure, meanwhile, is expected to announce his retirement from international football rather go with Ivory Coast to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Toure, 31 captained his country to a first Africa Nations Cup triumph since 1992 in Equatorial Guinea earlier this year.
"Now my target is done," said Toure, who has already seen brother Kolo retire. "I want to wait a couple of days for what I will decide for my future."
