Van Gaal today insisted that Falcao was currently only able to play 20 minutes for the Red Devils and claimed he wasn't interested if the Colombian was frustrated with his limited role.
Van Gaal said: "He is not fit enough to start a game yet. He needs to play 45, 60 or even 90 minutes in the second team but I haven't been able to do that because I needed him on the bench when James Wilson missed the Hull game and Wayne Rooney was injured for the Stoke game.
"I had to adapt to the needs of my squad. I selected him [on the bench] despite the fact that, at the moment, he can only play 20 minutes at that level because the physical intensity in the Premier League is the highest in the world."

Louis Van Gaal says Radamel Falcao isn't fully fit
100% ready to give everything
Lorelei Taron
But Lorelei Taron has disputed the Dutch tactician's assessment by claiming that her husband is "100% ready to give everything".
The post, which shows Falcao in training for United, is sure to invoke the ire of famous disciplinarian Van Gaal.
But it remains to be seen whether the Monaco loanee can prove his fitness over the long haul at Old Trafford and earn a permanent move at the end of the season.
