WATCH: Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli swap shirts with Pepe at HALF-TIME against Real
LIVERPOOL fans have taken to Twitter to show their frustration at Mario Balotelli for swapping shirts with Real Madrid's Pepe at half-time.
The Liverpool striker had few opportunities to impose himself on the game, and cut a forlorn figure at the break.
He then exchanged shirts with Pepe as the pair walked down the Anfield tunnel, leaving many Liverpool fans outraged at his lack of fighting spirit.
In his post match interview Rodgers denied knowing anything about the incident, but has vowed to 'deal with it' at a later date.
This isn't the first time Rodgers has reacted angrily to his players swapping shirts.
The Liverpool boss was left fuming after learning two of his players, Mamadou Sakho and Philippe Coutinho, swapped shirts with Chelsea stars at half-time in their 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge in 2013.
Balotelli you idiot. Get him off the pitch. Swap your shirt at the end.

#Balotelli must have been slaughtered by Gerrard & Rodgers at half time for that shirt swap move. Not the time for souvenirs.

I really hope the reason Balotelli got subbed off was because he turned up in the dressing room with a Real Madrid shirt. Idiot. #LFC

Time for the Balotelli experiment to end, LFC aren't good enough to carry him #LFC

Balotelli should be binned by @lfc. Shirt swop a step too far. Never mind not caring as the goals go in. Or scoring. Predictable.

Mario Balotelli. A talent who needs to wake up before it's gone. Shirt swap at half-time another questionable judgement in long line.
