Will Keane states case to Louis van Gaal with HAT-TRICK in Man Utd U21s cup win
WILL KEANE has given Louis van Gaal food for thought after hitting a hat-trick for Manchester United's Under-21s.
Keane scored three as United's youngsters beat Accrington Stanley 4-2 to advance in the Lancashire Senior Cup.
James Weir also found the net at the Crown Ground where James Wilson, Tyler Blackett and Tom Thorpe were all in action.
And Keane will hope to have caught the attention of Red Devils boss Van Gaal with his impressive hat-trick.
United were 2-0 down early on but fought back to progress thanks largely to Keane's efforts.
The 21-year-old is yet to feature for the senior side this season but has done his chances of playing this term no harm.
Wilson came off the bench during United's 2-1 victory over Everton on Saturday and with Wayne Rooney suspended he could come into contention.
United are back in action on Monday September 21 when they travel to West Brom.
