Champs and Chumps: Fabregas' masterclass, De Gea's heroics, Wenger's ugly touchline spat
CESC FABREGAS produced a stunning display as he helped Chelsea beat Arsenal. Arsene Wenger got involved in an ugly touchline fracas with his old foe Jose Mourinho, while David De Gea produced some fabulous saves, as Manchester United beat Everton.
Champs
Best goal
Fabregas lofted a ball into Diego Costa's path, and the Spaniard displayed his usual composure to flick his lob over the onrushing Wojciech Szczesny. It was an eye-catching finish and Costa now has nine league goals to his name.
Best individual display
Fabregas was his usual busy himself and it was always interesting to see how he would react playing against his old club Arsenal. His link-up play was excellent, which was epitomised by his delightful assist.
Best save
This could probably read saves! De Gea made a stunning fingertip save in the closing stages of the game to deny Bryan Oviedo and he got down low to repel Leighton Baines. An extraordinary display.
Chumps
Daftest decision
What was Michael Oliver thinking? Dejan Lovren brought down Saido Berahino, but it was outside the box. It was a strange decision to say the least, and Berahino made the Reds pay at the time by slotting home the resultant spot kick.
Worst tackle
Gary Cahill launched into a bad tackle on Alexis Sanchez, which easily could have warranted a red card. It was no surprise Wenger was annoyed, but shoving Mourinho in the chest was very childish on the Frenchman's part.
