Tony Fernandes: Loic Remy was signing QPR extension at dinner before Chelsea called
TONY FERNANDES has claimed Loic Remy was signing a contract extension with QPR before Chelsea called to strike up a deal.
The Hoops were left with a huge void to fill after Remy signed for the Blues in a £10.5million deal this summer.
The goals appear to have dried up for QPR, who lost 2-0 away at West Ham yesterday.
And Fernandes has taken to Twitter to clarify the situation surrounding why Remy left QPR.
"When we lost Remy 48 hours before deadline day it was huge huge blow," the QPR chairman tweeted.

Fernandes then went on to claim QPR did everything they could to try and get Liverpool striker Fabio Borini through the door.
In a further tweet, he posted: "Yeah I can pull out a striker in 24 hours .we tried hard with borini. So pls tell me me what you would have."
