Henderson could be a doubt for England's qualifier againsts Switzerland [ACTION IMAGES]
The Liverpool midfielder did not complete the session at St Jakob's Park last night and appeared to be nursing a problem with his right ankle after turning away from a tackle.
He was assessed by England's medical staff and managed to walk off the pitch unaided, but Henderson will be considered a doubt for the Group E opener with the Swiss.
Manchester City midfielder James Milner swapped sides after Henderson's knock and went to play alongside Jack Wilshere. He would be the obvious candidate step in if Henderson is ruled out, even though he has played just 63 minutes in three substitute appearances for club and country this season.
England coach Roy Hodgson is already without Henderson's Anfield club-mate, Daniel Sturridge, after he damaged his thigh in training at St George's Park last Friday.
Sturridge, who is expected to miss Liverpool's game with Aston Villa next Saturday, will be replaced by Danny Welbeck against Switzerland.
