The classy playmaker took to Instagram confessing that he has been playing in pain for over half a year, angering Barca fans worldwide who feel he is making excuses for a poor campaign last season.
Fabregas left the Nou Camp after falling out with the notoriously picky crowd, who believed that the Spain international was failing to put in the effort during Gerardo 'Tata' Martino's disastrous reign.
The 27-year-old subsequently joined Chelsea over the summer for £30million and has put in a number of top performances with four assists to his name already.

In the online post, Fabregas also paid tribute to Blues fitness coach Ivan Ortega for helping him recover, suggesting that Barca's staff were unable to solve the problem.
Ortega was taken from Liverpool in 2011 by Andre Villas-Boas in a bid to get Fernando Torres firing again, and has become an integral member of staff in west London.
Fabregas' Instagram post read: "After 8 months of groin injury, on Saturday I played my first game without pain! Thanks @ivanortega - machine!"
