MANCHESTER UNITED are set to go head-to-head with with Barcelona for the signature of Colombian star Juan Cuadrado.
Reports circulating in the Spanish media claim that Manchester United are preparing to match Barcelona's £28m bid for the midfield dynamo - a move likely to anger manager Luis Enrique.
The Spanish giants have long admired Cuadrado - his exuberant personality combined with an abundance of pace, power and agility made him one of the stand-out players of the World Cup.

A £28m bid would constitute a significant chunk of the Dutchman's summer transfer funds.
But considering Cuadrado's proficiency in a number of different positions - it could prove to be wise move from the veteran boss.
Any such transfer could hinge on the outcome of the Red Devils' £17m pursuit of Daley Blind.
The Ajax star has frequently been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and recent reports suggest the Eredivisie side are currently mulling over a bid from the 13-time Premier League champions.
United fans are hopeful the 26-year-old will be Van Gaal's third addition of the summer.
So much so that Cuadrado's Wikipedia page has been modified to say he is officially a Manchester United player.
