Steve Sidwell among nine players released by relegated Fulham
RELEGATED Fulham have released nine players in a ruthless end of season cull - including top scorer Steve Sidwell.
Sidwell hit eight goals last season as the Cottagers dropped out of the Premier League after a 13 year stay.
The former Chelsea midfielder had been in a contract dispute with the club since last year, holding out for a two year deal with the club willing to only offer one.
Sidwell, 31, had said he wanted to stay to help the club regain their top flight place - but with Fulham needing to slash their wage budget for the Championship, he has been shown the door.
Stoke though could now move in with an offer and also leaving the Cottage this summer is long serving winger Damien Duff.
